Hello, friends!
My name is Kyan and I came all they way from Tennessee to start a brand new life here in Canada.
Very little is known about my previous life. I am approximately 6 years old. I am underweight and timid so we think I was neglected. As a result, I do take time to warm up, but believe me when I say gaining my trust and love is 100% worth it. My foster parents and everyone who meets me say I am very sweet. I really appreciate slow movements and quiet voices as you approach me for cuddles because I still get scared easily. I would prefer a home without young children. I am not a fan of thunderstorms. They are loud and spooky! You will also need to understand me gaining weight might take time. It does not keep me from being a happy dog who would love a fully-fenced yard to play with you. I tested positive for Ehrlichia. It is a tick borne diseases and can only be transmitted through the bite of an infected tick. I pose no risk of spreading the illness to others. I have also already received treatment.
I am currently being fostered with 3 other dogs and I get along very well with all of them. I walk well on a leash. I feel safe in a crate when you leave the home and will be quiet until you return. At night, my absolute dream would be to cuddle with you.
