Gracie, a sweet golden lab girl, is originally from Tennessee. We’re not sure what her life was like in the past, but she arrived at the shelter in rough shape. Her health has improved somewhat thanks to good vet care, weight gain, and lots of TLC.
Gracie has had a very persistent case of ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne disease. She is on her second round of treatment for this with an extended course of antibiotics. Because of her advanced age, and combined with other health issues (heart murmur, arthritis, and hearing and vision impairments), it was decided that Gracie will remain in her foster home with palliative status. She is very loved by her foster family.
