Meet Precious! This adorable 1 year old black gal who is an absolute joy to be around.
Precious has a great appetite, is not picky with food; which is great as she is currently underweight and could stand to slowly gain a few more pounds. She is house trained and is let outside every couple of hours. When her foster family goes out, she is not crated.
Precious is currently living in a foster home with other dogs. She has done very well with playing and sharing with the other dogs. She will have more active periods throughout the day; and then settle down for a nap. She would benefit from having another playful dog or cat in her forever home.
Precious is a little shy of humans and takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. When visitors come to the door, or hears a noise she will bark to let her people know someone is there; for this reason, she would do best in a single dwelling (not a condo or townhome). She is also not very happy when left alone for long periods of time and would benefit from having someone home most of the time with her. She is also looking for a home with a backyard as she LOVES to play outside.
Precious does very well in the car and enjoys her walks; however a halty is needed as she does pulls a little. She has learned a few basic commands such as sit, drop it and stay; however, she would benefit from basic dog obedience training classes. At night, she enjoys sleeping with her humans and the other dogs in her foster home.
