Copper is a sweet Beagle mixed boy who is just over a year old. He loves to play with his foster siblings, and really enjoys cuddles on the couch at night. Copper is great with children and other dogs, of all sizes, so it would be amazing if he could find a home with children or dogs who could play with him. He does sometimes get a little over excited when playing with his foster siblings, but it is very quickly corrected and he plays very well within acceptable terms.
He is mostly house trained with a few accidents. He will do well in a crate but prefers to be spending time with his people, although he is currently in a crate when his foster mom is at work during the day. He is a super sweet boy who could gain a little weight. Copper loves going for car rides and often enjoys sitting in the front seat so he can get a good look around. He is pretty good on a leash but does pull a little to begin with, although an Easy Walk Harness seems to help this issue.
Copper does show some signs of separation anxiety when being left alone at first, although since he is with his foster siblings he appears to calm down quickly and for that reason Copper’s foster mom would strongly recommend he moves to a forever home that has another dog in it as Copper loves to follow the leader and enjoys being a shadow to his dog siblings. Copper is very quiet within the home, however he has the typical beagle howl but it is rare to hear it.
