Pugsley has been adopted!
Pugsley / Male / Pug mix / 15 lbs / 2 year old / Adoption fee: $400.00
Pugsley is a 2 year old fawn pug. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in Ohio and has made the trip to Canada to find his forever home. He is a happy guy full of love and play.
He is in a foster home with another small dog and enjoys the companionship although he is also very happy to play on his own. He LOVES all toys especially the little soft ones that he can carry, chew and throw up in the air. A home with no cats is best for Pugsley as he loves to chase them.
He is house trained as long as his people take him outside on a regular basis for bathroom breaks. He walks very well on a leash and is always eager to meet and greet the people and dogs he encounters on his walks. Pugsley understands the command sit and stay using positive reinforcement training methods. He is looking for a forever h
ome that will continue this type of training with him.
During the day when his foster parents are at work, Pugsley is in his crate. He does well in his crate, and has no accidents. He takes a few minutes to settle. An apartment or townhouse setting would probably not be best for Pugsley.
At night time, his preference is to sleep in his foster parent’s bed. He settles instantly and sleeps contently for well over 8 hours (like a pug in a rug).
Pugsley is looking for an active family that will take him on hikes, play in the backyard or take him to the dog park. A home with a companion dog would be an asset, although not necessary if his forever family is looking for an active dog that loves interaction and play time.
