Scruffy has been adopted.
Scruffy is a happy go lucky little dog, and a terrier at it’s best in personality. She is active, playful, friendly and especially funny! Scruffy was rescued from a high kill shelter where she had been picked up as a stray. When her foster parents went to the shelter to save some dogs in need, Scruffy was very alert in her cage, paying attention to everything going on around her. To every single person that passed in front of her cage, Scruffy would try to give kisses and say hi, as if she was saying “pick me! pick me!”
Her alert and funny personality stayed with her foster parents while they saw all the dogs at the shelter, and they could not help themselves but to come back to the very first room they visited to get her out of the shelter.
While in foster care, Scruffy has been a very easy dog to take care of. She is young and active so she enjoys long walks and is very good on a leash. She also adores play time with both toys and other dogs. Scruffy loves being in the backyard and chases everything that moves. She is also an excellent alarm system for people who want to come into the house! (Think of the savings!) Because of this last excellent quality, Scruffy is not suited for condo living, but would rather be suited for a detached home that has lots of valuables inside that she can protect! 🙂
Scruffy is good with other dogs and kids. She would rather not live with a cat because she does not think they are fun and she will force them to play. Unless the cat is game to play!
Scruffy looks like a non-shedding dog however it is important for applicants to know that this is not the case as she does shed little white hairs. Her house training is coming along great. She still has an accident once in a while but she will get there. She is a very smart little dog who would actually excel at agility!
