Blue has been adopted.
Blue is a really smart boy. He is very friendly and happy, wanting to play just like a puppy. He is confident and has adjusted to his new foster home very quickly. Though coming from a shelter environment he has very good house manners, is house trained and will sleep quietly in his crate.
The Blue merle colour with a black mask gives him a unique look. He has a soft short coat similar to the Australian Cattle Dog but his size and demeanor are much like a Jack Russel Terrier. He has the personality of both with a bunch of energy. He runs, jumps and flips like he’s already learned all the tricks of an agility dog. If you are looking for a companion to be active with, running, hiking and agility he is the perfect dog for you. He loves to spend time on the couch though and is very affectionate. He is not food motivated and will respond well to both treats and praise rewards for his training. He knows basic commands and is good with recall. A collar will not suffice for walking as he is really good at backing out of it! We use his harness and he is very polite.
It has been estimated his age is 1 year old, and he does have a puppy tendency to play nip. He is learning his boundaries and does not bark other than to play. His size and confidence makes him suitable for many different home environments.
