Save Me Rescue remembers Summer.
Summer came to Save Me Rescue as a terribly matted mill dog with several medical problems who was faced with being euthenized from a shelter. Her family met her at an event we brought her to, and it was love at first sight. After Save Me returned home from the adoption event, there was an application already sitting in our inbox for sweet Summer from her parents. After years of love, dedication and loyalty, Summer passed in April of 2015. It was truly a rags to riches story for this little girl. For the past couple of years, Summer lived in luxury, even driving to Toronto in a limousine as she accompanied her family everywhere they went, and at times visited her former foster mom with happiness. The loss of Summer has been felt by so many, as she brought immense joy to everyone around her. Rest in peace, Summer.
