Save Me Rescue remembers Rusty. We adopted Rusty when at 8 weeks of age. He was very sick and we almost lost him as a pup. In our efforts to help him recover, we discovered that the place he came from was a puppy mill, and poor little Rusty was in very poor health for the rest of his life.
Eventually he was diagnosed with diabetes and went blind.
We heard about a wonderul ophthamologist who was able to perform surgery, inserting implants in both his eyes which gave him his sight back. Our precious boy only lived 6 months after that. Rusty, you will always be in our hearts. We miss you and we dedicate this rescue to you and to all other dogs who have the misfortune of either being used as a breeding dog or who are born in the mills. RIP, precious Rusty.
