Say Hello to Milou!!!

Personality of the name Milou – Adventurous and curious, always ready to explore his surroundings with infectious enthusiasm, a friendly and lively personality , playful and spirited !!! This Beautiful Boy loves being outside and going for several daily walks!!! He very seldom Barks, most times if playing or when his Foster sister starts first. Lol

He is the best backseat passenger, loves the car!! Not destructive. He has learned to play with toys and stuffies!!

He’s a great eater loves his food and the odd treat!! Totally housetrained!!

Milou looks for my Grandsons to play with and loves everyone he meets….a bit reactive to some dogs on walks but is getting better everyday with voice commands and some reassurance!!

Milou’s major health issues have been dealt with and he is doing well (see below for more medical information). Unfortunately, his difficult past did leave some emotional scars!!

His foster home is providing him with love and the help he needs to be ready for adoption in the future!!

Milou will need patience, kindness and TIME to fully trust and relax….he will get there I know he will!!!!

The Goofball in him makes my Family and I smile everyday:)

Milou’s medical information: Milou came into rescue after being abandoned at a veterinary clinic, which resulted in him being high risk in a Quebec pound. Milou’s mouth was one of the most severe cases our veterinarians had seen. The deep seated infection resulted in Milou needing all of his teeth extracted. Milou also suffered bone loss in his jaw from the long neglected infection. Now that his mouth is healthy he is eating well and put on some much needed weight.

These issues were very painful for Milou and an after effect is that he is very reticent to have his face/eyes/ears touched. This has been challenging as he has had both ear and eye infections.

Milou’s very patient foster mother is working with him and seeing progress in him being able to trust people. Being on clomicalm has been helpful as well, in this regard.

Like many little white dogs, Milou does have some seasonal allergies and apoquel has been helpful.
