Libby

Adopted!

Labrador retriever mix – Female – 70 lb – 3-4 yrs (approx.)

Libby is a 3-4-year-old black Labrador retriever mix with a sweet and loving personality. Rescued from the North, she arrived in Toronto on December 10, ready to begin her new life. Libby is an affectionate girl who loves all kinds of attention, especially belly and neck rubs. She’s a true cuddle bug and loves to snuggle with her family, making her the perfect companion.

Libby’s journey hasn’t been easy – she underwent an emergency C-section and was spayed on September 30. Despite her past, she’s a resilient and kind dog who continues to shine with her gentle nature. At her recent veterinary check-up, she was found to be a very healthy and happy girl. She’s also up to date with her vaccines and microchipped, so she’s ready for her forever home!

As a northern dog, Libby is still adjusting to city life. While she’s a bit timid outside due to the new sights and sounds of traffic, other dogs, and busy streets, she’s been doing great and becoming more comfortable every day.

She enjoys meeting new people and always greets them with a wagging tail. Though she’s friendly with other dogs, she tends to keep to herself as she gets used to new canine friendships, and she has shown no signs of aggression.

Libby is smart, quick to learn, and very well-behaved. She would thrive in any household, whether it’s an apartment or a house with a yard. Libby is ready to find her forever family where she can continue to grow and bring joy with her loving and calm presence. 🐾
