Meet Thelma!

Thelma is a 3-year-old, 16-pound terrier cross who is equal parts fun, cuddly and delightfully entertaining. Despite having a very rough start in life, this sweet girl has come a long way and is learning that people, homes and cuddles can actually be pretty wonderful things.

Thelma loves to play — with her dog pals, with her favourite toys, or pretty much anything else she can turn into a good time. Being outside is one of her favourite places to be, and she loves her walks. Squirrels, however, are not simply wildlife to Thelma… they are an important part of her daily exercise program!

She has blossomed into a trusting, affectionate girl who loves to cuddle once she knows you. She is incredibly loyal, wants to please her people and is happiest when she can be part of the action.

A dog pal is a must for Thelma. She loves having another dog to play with and would benefit from a confident canine friend who can continue to show her the ropes. She would likely be fine with dog-savvy cats as well.

Thelma would do best in a quieter home with teens or older. Loud or boisterous people can still make her a little nervous, so she’s looking for someone who understands that confidence is built one small step — and probably one squirrel sighting — at a time.

Someone who works from home or is retired would be ideal, as Thelma really enjoys having her people around. In return, you’ll get a very loyal, playful and loving little terrier who will happily keep you entertained and make sure you never miss a squirrel on your walk.

Thelma has worked hard to discover the joys of being a loved dog. Now she’s looking for a forever home, a canine best friend and a family who will continue to help her blossom
