Thelma- Despite a rough start to life, Thelma is a resilient, sweet girl who is learning just how wonderful life can be. Since coming into our care, she has slowly opened her heart, learning to trust and enjoy all the little perks of having a home of her own.

Thelma is a toy enthusiast! Stuffies and balls are her favourites, and she happily keeps herself entertained with plenty of playtime. Walks are another highlight, whether it’s a neighbourhood stroll or an adventure at the park. She’s also a great little passenger and enjoys car rides.

Thelma has always lived with other dogs, and having a doggy companion in her forever home is a must. She loves having a friend to play with and, just as importantly, someone to cuddle with. We also believe she would likely do well with cats.

There’s a little terrier in Thelma’s DNA, which means squirrels beware! She thoroughly enjoys a good squirrel chase and would love a home with a yard where she can safely run, play and enjoy the outdoors.

Thelma can be a little shy when meeting new people and will need some time to warm up, but once she decides you’re one of her people, she gives her whole heart.

As she is still settling into her new life, house training is a work in progress. And while a crate isn’t on Thelma’s list of favourite things, she is continuing to learn and grow every day.

Thelma doesn’t need perfection — she needs patience, kindness, a canine best friend and someone willing to let her blossom at her own pace. In return, she’ll give you a very special little heart to love.
