Tamra is an enthusiastic, “live in the moment” kinda girl. Always up for an adventure, or a snuggle, she’s the whole package!
Check out this video of our girl Tamra to get a look at her personality in action: Tamra Video
Tamra greets everyone that she meets with a wagging tail. She is still working on her manners and learning not to jump but is making great progress since coming into foster care. Tamra does well on leash and is able to peacefully walk with other people and dogs. She is a strong pup who does pull when she sees squirrels or bunnies, but her foster family is confident that this can be managed while on leash with training. Although Tamra is doing well in her foster family’s apartment, she would love a yard to run around, play fetch, and chase squirrels!
Tamra is crate trained and currently spends time in there to sleep and when her foster family is away. She has been left home alone for up to five hours at this point and does great, she’s just excited when her family returns! Tamra is fully housetrained.
Food is the key to Tamra’s heart. If there are treats involved, she will do anything, making her easily trainable. She currently knows sit, down, wait, and high five. Tamra is a smart puppy so loves learning new tricks and playing enrichment games. Tamra is currently a little bit underweight so is very happy to be getting some extra food each day.
During her intake veterinary protocol, Tamra tested positive for Lyme disease. Given her young age, this was a recent exposure, and she has been treated with a course of doxycycline. This treatment is curative.
She loves to run and play and then snuggle up on the couch for a good nap. Tamra is a special pup who will be a great addition to any home!
