Meet Sue, affectionately known as HappySue, a beautiful tri-colour Shih Tzu mill mama from Ohio who is ready to discover just how wonderful life can be.

True to her nickname, Sue is a happy, playful little girl who loves her humans of all ages. She especially enjoys her squishy toys, cozy blankets, and, of course, treats! She is a great eater and happily enjoys mealtime.

Sue is doing wonderfully with her new experiences. She walks well on a leash and harness, and she is very good about doing all her business outside. She goes up the stairs but isn’t quite ready to come back down them yet as she is still learning! She may bark occasionally, but it is minimal. She even enjoyed her bath, which is a pretty wonderful start for a former mill mama.

And that little wiggly bum? It’s absolutely adorable.

Sue would love a home where her people are around much of the time. A home-based or hybrid household would be ideal so she can continue building confidence and enjoying companionship. She could also do very well with another small, friendly dog around her age.

Most of all, HappySue is looking for people who will cherish her, give her patience as she learns, and show her that she is finally home.

HappySue is ready for her happy-ever-after.
