Strawberry is NOT accepting applications at this time. Every so often a dog comes into our care that requires a lot of extra attention. Strawberry is extremely shut down around people. Her foster family is working hard to help her adjust to life as a family pet, but it’s one day at a time. We expect she will need a family with mill dog experience.

Strawberry is a beautiful caramel Miniature Poodle, believed to be around 3 yrs old. She is a extremely nervous with humans due to her limited life experience but super playful with other dogs. Strawberry is progressing really well with her house training and has only had a couple of accidents inside the house. She absolutely loves the dogs at her foster home especially her foster sister Nala and the 2 of them play really well together in the back yard. She is not a fan of cats, she will somewhat tolerate them but if they approach to quickly she will run away from them and bark at them until they back off. She will need a home that has easy access to a fenced yard as she loves to spending time outside runing around and enjoying the grass and the fresh air. She will also do better in a home with a dog as she is not too sure about humans yet. Because she is quite skittish of fast movements and hesitation with humans, we think she would do best in an adult only home thought in time she may be ok with visiting kids.
