Meet the vibrant and loveable “Spike”, a 5 year old Chi mix cutie, ready to bring boundless joy into your home. At 15 lbs, he’s the ideal size for any home and most arms!

Spike has a heart as big as his energy. He is fantastic with people, and dogs of all sizes. He is super friendly and gets excited easily. He can also move quickly and would be best on a solid leash versus a retractable one for walks. Being mindful of him around car/house doors will keep him safe.

When he first arrived, he didn’t know how to navigate the stairs, so I carried him. On day 2, he hurled himself down the stairs and didn’t lose a beat. Occasionally, he will trip going up but only because he loves to move and get to the next activity, whether its mealtime, looking out the window at the squirrels, rabbits and local cats or taking a nap in his crate.

Spike is fully house-trained and sleeps in a nice cozy bed in his crate without complaint at night. He rarely barks and has keen eyesight and hearing too. Sometimes he can get startled by loud noises.

He’s a high energy boy and his ideal home would have a fenced yard and a combination of walks, quiet time to view nature and naps! Having a family that can include him on walks, visits to friends and family & checking out local sights would make his world complete!
