Samantha (Sammy) is a sweet, gentle girl with soulful eyes and so much love to give—a true love sponge. After spending her early life as a puppy mill mama, she is discovering how wonderful home life can be. Inside the home, Samantha happily seeks out love, attention, and closeness from her people.

She has a playful, curious side and is very treat-motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. She greets both people and dogs with gentleness and has done well with a dog-savvy cat. Samantha would do especially well in a home with another calm, friendly dog, as she often looks to her foster sister for comfort and direction. A fully fenced yard would also be a great fit for her. While she is gentle by nature, her playful moments can be a little enthusiastic, so a home with children who are steady on their feet would be best.

Samantha is making wonderful progress with house training and leash walking as she learns the routines of family life. On walks, she loves to sniff and may pull when she wants to say hello, but with consistency and positive reinforcement, she is steadily improving. She settles nicely in her crate overnight and when left alone. At first, being by herself was new and difficult for her, but with patience, routine, and support from her foster fur sister, she has come a long way. She has also been great in the car, where she happily lies down in the back seat and rests.

Sammy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations.

Samantha loves being close to her people and would thrive in a loving, patient home that can continue building her confidence and give her the life she deserves.
