Sponsored by Melissa Paulino – Wishing this beautiful girl a lifetime of happiness in her forever home
Sage recently arrived from a puppy mill in Ohio where she spent the first part of her life having babies. She’s ready to close that chapter and begin her life as a beloved furry family member.
Sage is super sweet – she’s happiest when she’s being pet or held even though she weighs 20 pounds! She is very friendly with people and has readily approached everyone who entered our home. She co-exists nicely with two dogs and a cat – she doesn’t bother them and they don’t bother her.
Being in a house is new to her and she is getting used to the routine. The biggest challenge so far was helping her overcome her fear of kibble moving around in a food bowl as she was probably used to eating off the floor. She’s a pretty good eater so that fear is almost completely conquered.
For someone new to pet-life, she walks nicely on a leash in our suburban neighbourhood. Loud noises, like garbage trucks, startle her but with time I have no doubt that she will get used to it.
She is learning that bathroom business belongs outside and this is a work in progress. She sleeps quietly in her crate overnight and sometimes goes in voluntarily during the day.
She likes to be outside so a home with a fenced yard is an asset.
Sage is a loving girl who would thrive in a home where she is adored and spoiled. She will reward you with lots of cuddles and requests for belly rubs.
