Sadie came into foster care with the Save Me family in early August after living her life in a puppy mill. Despite all of her previous hardships, she is an absolute gem and completely full of so much love to give!

Sadie is approximately 5 years old and is now finally having the opportunity to learn how to “dog”. She is learning about the comforts of soft beds, toys, a loving touch, and new furry friends. Routine, patience, love, and time can do wonders! It is clear that she just wants to love and be loved. She even smiles….yes smiles….at times! Cutest little grin ever. Her tail is regularly up and wagging. She is calm yet has moments of showing her playful side. She would certainly love to have a well balanced fur sibling to continue learning from and playing with; this really seems to bring her joy once she is comfortable and feels safe.

Sadie doesn’t seem to mind a crate or penned area but does voice her displeasure at times, so this was only assessed initially for a brief time. She now has free roam of the main living area and enjoys being around the other dogs. She also enjoys watching out the window and talking to whatever seems to interest her outside.

She is still learning about housetraining and will need time and consistency with this. It would be helpful to have someone home most of the time to help her overcome this learning curve. She will also need time to become more comfortable with leashed walks. She does walk fairly well, but just needs to build her confidence and get used to all the surrounding sights and sounds.

Sweet Sadie is exactly that….sweet, gentle, playful, funny, and adorable! Someone will be truly blessed to be chosen as her furever family.
