Meet Petunia, your new couch cuddle buddy!

Petunia is a 5 year old, spayed, beagle who is full of love and ready to find her forever home.

She is happiest when snuggled up on the couch, belly-out, having a good snooze and snoring away. She has gotten used to napping on the couch and sleeping in the bed, so her forever family will need to be okay with her on the furniture.

Petunia loves people and goes up to every person she meets looking for pets! She is slowly getting more comfortable around other dogs, but would do best as the only dog in the home.

Loud noises and sudden movements are quite stressful for Petunia and she is easily startled. Although she is getting more confident every day, her forever family should be prepared to be patient with her while she continues to build her confidence in new environments.

She is fully house-trained and is comfortable in her crate when people aren’t home. She has been home by herself for 3-4 hours at a time in her crate and has been perfectly content and quiet. When her foster mom comes home, Petunia can usually be found fast asleep in the crate and only wakes up to the sound of the crate door opening.

True to her breed, she follows her nose wherever it takes her on walks and should always be kept on leash unless in a fully fenced in yard. She can be described as a medium-energy dog who loves walking at a leisurely pace with lots of time to sniff and roll in the grass.

Petunia is looking for a forever family that she can feel safe with and who will give her lots of love and cuddles!
