Sponsored in loving memory of Maddie. Always missing you. Echo and Sandy
Have you always wanted to adopt a tiny chihuahua? Well look no further. Pepper is your girl. At 13 years young and 3.5 lbs she’s looking for a tiny-dog savvy home to live out her Golden Girl retirement dreams. Pepper likes to take advantage of the finer things in life like a quiet room, soft bed (yours and hers), warm hiding spot, yummy food and the occasional lap nap (on her terms). She doesn’t bark and is trained on a pee pad and to go outside – so condo or apartment living would suit her just fine.
A quiet home, is key for this girl. If she’s nervous she will hide and refuse to come out of her spot. Luckily this hasn’t been the case in her foster home. Pepper has settled in and her sassy, chi girl personality is shining through. She is very curious and likes to wander around the house, make bed nests in random places and search out treats in snuffle pads. She would gladly be an only pet but would also be fine with a very respectful dog or cat who doesn’t disturb her routine.
In terms of medical, Pepper was recently spayed and had all but one tooth removed. She came into the rescue with a cough that turned out to be pneumonia which she has now recovered from. Bloodwork and xrays were done with no significant medical issues identified. She does have some hind-end stiffness that’s likely due to a luxating patella in her left knee which is very common for small dogs.
