Sponsored in thanks to wonderful teachers who have made the 2024/25 school year a great one.
Brindle beauty Opal is sweet, curious and is an expert snuggler. At first she is very timid around people and will need a person/family willing to give her time and patience and help her feel safe. Once comfortable she will be your shadow, and ready to snuggle up on the couch.
She lives with a dog and cat, and is very respectful. Another dog in the home to help build her confidence would be great, or someone willing to give her their full attention will quickly have a Velcro dog.
Opal enjoys being outdoors, whether chasing around a ball or frisbee, going for walks or chasing the squirrels in the yard if they get too close. A home with a securely fenced yard is needed, as she follows her nose and has a prey drive. She gets jumpy when excited, and best suited for a home with older children. During walks she is very timid meeting new people and dogs. She is skittish and does get scared of loud noises, but is getting better.
Once in the house she is the ultimate couch potato. While her foster mom works from home, Opal likes to curl up in a bed next to her, often with a chew toy or two. She has been very quiet and rarely barks.
She is crate trained and is crated when left alone during the day. She goes into her crate with a snack and settles quickly. She has been doing her business in the yard regularly with routine. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped.
Opal is ready to bring kisses and snuggles to her forever home.
