Sponsored by Marlene Glen, in loving memory of Britta who was adopted in 2017 and passed away in 2024.
Misty is a social girl who thrives when she’s around people and welcomes all the attention, ear scratches and belly rubs. She is super affectionate and is a solid gold in Olympic level cuddling.
She has great energy and is good with other dogs but prefers respectful pups that understand the social cues for “enough is enough, it’s time to rest and recharge”. She seems to love her cat foster sibling and is very interested in her. She would do best with a dog savvy cat because she enjoys trying to play and will chase, but all in good fun.
House training is new to Misty but she’s a super smart girl has a good grasp and is learning how to communicate when she needs to go out. Though NOT a fan of this awful cold weather, she will go outside for her potty breaks, she is quick to head back inside to the warmth of a cozy spot on the couch.
Misty is true to the traits of a Boston and is a bit of a Velcro dog (IYKYK) and her favourite spot will be your lap. She would thrive in a home where someone is home most of the time. She doesn’t love being left alone (who does?) and would rather go along with you for adventures. Just say the word and this girl is looking for the leash and heading to the car.
Misty arrived into rescue with an issue with one of her eyes. She had significant scarring on one of her corneas. With treatment it has improved greatly but there is a small residual amount of scarring. Her tear production is borderline, to ensure her eyes remain healthy, we do have her on lubricating drops, and suggest she remain on those.
