Meet Missy – A Bright Spirit Ready for Her New Beginning

Missy is a 5-year-old, 12.5 lb Havanese who unfortunately spent the first part of her life in a commercial breeding facility. You’d never guess it by her personality though—her tail never stops wagging and her cheerful energy fills every room. She’s finally getting to explore the world, and she’s loving every second of it.

With a mostly white coat and a soft dusting of grey on her ear tips, Missy is already blossoming. Her fur was stained from her previous living conditions, but it’s growing in beautifully white now. She’s non-shedding, and with a little TLC, she’ll be looking her best in no time.

Missy is friendly and curious—she wants to say hello to everyone and sniff every corner she’s missed out on for so long. At first, she can be a little nervous, but it’s clear she really wants to connect and be cuddled. She gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in her foster home and is gentle and loving with kids of all ages.

She’s currently learning to walk on a leash and is making great progress. She absolutely loves going up and down stairs and does it with joyful confidence.

Housetraining is a work in progress, but she’s doing well with gentle guidance. At night, Missy is a champion sleeper—she wants to cuddle close and will happily snuggle beside you in bed, snoozing soundly through the night.
