Sponsored in honour of some special teachers.
Milou arrived into our care requiring some pretty significant medical care. At the age of 3, he had already been neglected long enough to cause extreme dental disease. The advanced disease caused some bone loss to his jaw bone. We think that the pain he had made him very hesitant and sensitive to touch around his head.
Milou also has seasonal allergies that surface in warmer months. He gets injections to help with this, but flare ups cause even more sensitivity around his eyes and ears, which unfortunately adds to his resistance to having his head and face touched.
Milou has come a long way in the past 2 years, but after receiving and turning down various applications, we feel that Milou will receive the very best care if he remains with his foster family. The rescue will continue to cover his on going and expensive costs to maintain control of his allergies and repeated ear issues. Given the difficulty in applying treatment, and the trust he has built with his foster home, he’s in the very best place. Milou is now part of our Foster Forever program.
