Max is a cuddly, friendly little guy who loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa and enjoying a little TV time with his people. He’s housetrained and crate trained, although given the choice, he’d much rather be wherever his humans are. He sleeps happily on the bed through the night and is always excited to start the morning with plenty of kisses!

Max loves outdoor time and exploring the yard, especially having the freedom to sniff around and soak up the sunshine. He enjoys his daily walks, whether they’re around the neighbourhood or at the park, and he’s always happy to go for a car ride.

As a poodle, Max is wonderfully clean and non-shedding. Family life is still relatively new to this little guy, so he can startle easily. Older children would be fine, but little children can be a bit overwhelming for him.

Max has mastered the stairs and takes his cues from the other dogs around him. He gets along beautifully with his foster siblings and would also be comfortable living with cats.

What Max really wants is a forever family where he can be someone’s best buddy. A yard to explore, a dog or cat pal to keep him company, and—most importantly—people to love would make his world complete. He’s equally happy with both women and men and is ready to bring his gentle, affectionate personality to his forever home.

Medical Notes: After arrival with us, it was discovered that Max has seizures. His seizures are very well controlled on phenobarbital. He will need bi-annual blood work to make sure that his phenobarbital levels remain in the therapeutic dose range. Should the need arise, in the future, there are other drugs that can be added to his regimen. There is every expectation that Max will be able to live a full and happy life.

Max is ready to find his people—and he has a whole lot of love and kisses waiting for them!
