Sponsored by Eva, in memory of her smart, spunky, gorgeous Lou. You’re with Babcia, Rosie and Bella now.

Lolli is a sweet, well loved, fawn color Havanese. She has had one eye removed and very limited vision in the other. She is also deaf. I guarantee that if you continue to read on you will be amazed by this little one and how independent and capable she is.
When Lolli arrived at my home she was not shy at all without any hesitation she walked out of her carrier and started to explore. She bumped into things as expected while slowly navigating around furniture and walls, sniffing and feeling her way along. There was no “poor me” at all, instead she was confident and carried herself with the “I got this” attitude. I fell in love instantly. She was my kind of girl!

Lolli has shown me that she is able to use the dog stairs to get onto the bed, jump up against the couch to let you know she’d like a lift up, knows where the food, water dish is, and goes to them freely, can go to the back door and wait to signal she wants in from outside and more. Lolli is not a dog who will play ball or chase you or roll around playfully on the floor. She will however snuggle up close and keep you warm and cozy on movie night. She won’t complain if the movie is really bad and and best of all Lolli might even surpise you with a kiss if it is a sad one that makes you cry.

Her new home would ideally be one level since this is easiest for her to get around. She would love a family that wants tons of cuddles because Lolli is a true lap dog and loves nothing more than being close to her people on the couch and in bed and prefers not to be alone but is fine for a few hours. She will do her business on a pee pad with some retraining as she has been away from this for awhile. She has been going outside after she wakes up and is quick to get things done and prefer this way. Doing it this way has meant no accidents since with me. If you want quiet you have it with her. Not a single bark in the time she has been here. Only brief walks on a leash are best. She does enjoy exploring in the yard with all of the smells and being a little overweight it is important to keep her moving with some daily activity. Watch overfeeding (she does love food) as well as limit treats until she regains her girlish figure. Lolli gets along great with other dogs and people. However, she has tried to help herself to other foster dog’s dinner and will try to take chew bones from them . With her gentle nature, taking a bone or food away from her is not an issue . The concern is her trying this type of interaction with an unknown or reactive dog who might not appreciate her “lejt’s share” attitude. So her family must always be watchful of this. She loves being carried around and because of her condition it is a good habit to always give her back a gentle stroke to let her know that you are near so as not to startle her before you pick her up.

I hope you now can see how wonderful Lolli is and how much she has to offer. She was not only worth reading about, she could possibly be the perfect addition to your family. How often does a sweet, loveable, small, quiet, low maintenance, independent, snuggler, house trained, low energy, apartment suitable dog come along? It is like winning the lottery? Lolli is looking for a soft place to land to live out her life. A family to cuddle with. A slow laid back life style. In return you will get unconditional love, loyalty and one very special best friend, companion, who will never share your secrets and there favorite thing is being by your side. The Bonus . Lolli silently brings a gentle reminder of what we all learned at some point in our lives but forgot alolng the way “Never Judge a Book by it’s Cover”. Lolli is so much more than what we see on the outside. The lucky family who chooses to welcome her in will soon find out that they are blessed to have a unique and special little one to spend time with.
