You may say I’m a dreamer , but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you will join us, and the world will live as one.

My name is Lennon and I am a dreamer. I dream of having a family to call my own. I am doing my best to help the world be a better place. I love people. I love meeting people. I love other dogs, big and small. I am looking for somebody to continue this journey with me.

Lennon is a five year old lab mix. He is blind but that doesn’t stop him from seeing all the beauty in life. He is such a happy guy. He gets around very well and adapts pretty quickly to new surroundings. In just a week he has learned the layout of our home, where the door to outside is and how to get back in when he is ready. He uses his senses of smell and hearing to figure out his surroundings. We tap on his food and water bowls to let him know when meals are served. He loves nice long walks. He needs you to keep him safe and let him know when there are stairs or loud noises he may not recognize that are coming close. He is housetrained. He is crate trained. He doesn’t seem to know any commands yet so we are working on sit and down. His personality is very sweet and he is laid back. He likes to be part of the family whether it is playing in the yard or laying around watching tv.

He does well with all the other dogs he has met but they are not always as happy with him. He does need to smell them quite thoroughly because he cannot see when they are approaching him or how big they are. I know my little dogs were not happy with this greeting but Lennon is respectful and lets them be.

He did great in the car. He was super comfortable. Getting him into the car was a bit more tricky. We had to lift him because he could not figure out how high to lift his legs to get in. Getting out was much easier.

Life has been interesting since Lennon joined us. He is teaching us what he needs to thrive in our house and we are eager to learn more. A tidy home without a lot of things laying on the floor are best for Lennon. He likes kids but I would suggest older ones because he is not a small dog, his tail is pretty strong and he does need to get close to smell you. He could probably use another 10lbs on his frame putting him up to 70-75lbs.

If you can imagine a world with a dog like Lennon let us know.
