Shiba Inu – Female – 13 lbs – 5 yrs (approx)

Sponsored by Gail and Peter in loving memory of Ginger

Meet Lady, a brave little house fox. After spending her entire life in a commercial breeding facility, the world is brand new to her — and while she’s nervous, her curiosity always wins. She startles easily but doesn’t shut down; she takes a breath, assesses, and tries again. That quiet determination is one of her most endearing qualities.

She shows classic Shiba Inu traits:

-Independent and self‑possessed — she prefers to make her own choices and isn’t likely to be a couch cuddler.
-Aloof but loyal — she bonds steadily and shows affection in subtle, thoughtful ways.
-Confident observer — she likes to take in the world before deciding how to engage.

Despite her background, she’s already crate trained, house trained and walks well on leash. She absolutely loves being outside — sunshine, breezes, and quiet yards are her happy places.

She’s fine with other dogs; she’s politely curious, sometimes interested in play, but mostly does her own thing. She has not been cat tested.

Ideal Home:
-Shiba‑experienced adopters or people familiar with helping commercial‑breeding dogs adjust.
-Older, dog‑savvy kids only.
-A calm, patient household that celebrates small wins and understands decompression
-A secure yard or someone who enjoys outdoor time with her.

She’s a gentle soul learning how to be a family member for the first time — and she’s doing it with so much heart.
