Meet Jamie – a sweet, happy, and loveable little pup, who is quickly learning to enjoy the comforts of home!
Prior to coming into rescue, Jamie was used as a breeding dog. Although not much is known about his past, it does seem Jamie has been treated kindly by people. He is happy to meet people outside and welcome strangers into the home, and he gets along well with the neighbourhood dogs he’s met, both big and small. Jamie is medium energy so far; he goes on 2-3 walks per day and has a couple good romps in the yard, and will settle well while inside and sleeps all night.
Jamie is standard poodle, but is smaller than average for the breed, standing 18 inches at the shoulders and weighing about 35lbs. He has many of the classic traits of a poodle: smart, friendly, people oriented, and BOUNCY! Jamie is currently learning some house manners and basic obedience, but with patience and a kind hand, his foster family believes he has endless potential! Jamie can be nervous when faced with new situations or experiences, but is exceptionally trusting when given confident guidance and support. Jamie is a velcro dog, and will follow his chosen person from room to room. That said, he is doing exceptionally well with crate training, resting quietly without complaint.
