Sponsored by Luthor who is a rescue dog that came to us from a rescue group from Ohio – and he supports and wants all dogs to have a wonderful happy life!
Darla greets everyone she meets with an enthusiastic tail wag and a wiggle. A belly rub is optional but highly appreciated. She is an adorable little dog, who is always happy and funny.
She has bonded with her foster mom and the senior in the home, and follows them everywhere- family meeting in the bathroom!
She loves to play with her stuffed animals, especially right before bed! The fake growling sound effects are comical , and no stuffy is safe. She loves tug of war, and sliding across the floor to retrieve them.
The daily walks are the highlight of her day – running around in circles when the leash comes out means “What is taking sooo long???”
She is very food motivated, and does a full body dance when the bowl comes out – treats are always welcome.
Darla likes to sit close to her humans on the couch and get belly rubs . She also likes to spend afternoons in her chair, in between patrolling the back yard for intruders like squirrels. She does not actually chase or catch anything, but it’s the thought that counts. Go Darla!!!
She will need time to get comfortable at her new home. Most suitable would be a single person or a couple, no cats, kids or other dogs. She prefers to have all the love and treats to herself.
Darla is not a city girl, as she is more comfortable in a less busy and noisy neighbourhood.Big trucks can be scary! She will make someone a lovable , loyal companion.
