Beagle Mix – Female – 26 lbs – 2 yrs (approx.)

Sponsored by Luthor who is a rescue dog that came to us from a rescue group from Ohio – and he supports and wants all dogs to have a wonderful happy life!

Darla is an adorable little dog, who is happy and funny. She takes time to trust new people, and is realizing that humans can be kind and loving. She has bonded with her foster mom and the senior in the home , and follows them everywhere- family meeting in the bathroom!
It seems as though she never had a chance to learn how to play , but is coming out of her shell. She is vocal when she plays, something that her big dog friends are chill about , and let her think she is in charge. The daily walks are the highlight of her day – running around in circles when the leash comes out means “Let’s go!”
She likes playing with her toys, and pounces on her stuffies with purpose.
She is food motivated, and does a full body dance when the bowl comes out – treats are always welcome.
Darla likes to sit close to her humans on the couch and get belly rubs – she is not a cuddler, but hopefully with time and patience she will become one.
She will need time to get comfortable at her new home. Most suitable would be a single person or a couple, no cats, kids or other dogs. She wants to have all the love and treats to herself.
Darla is not a city girl, as she is more comfortable in a less busy and noisy neighbourhood. Big trucks can be scary!
She will make someone a lovable , loyal companion.
