If you want a dog who is affectionate, loyal, playful, and energetic, Chance is your man. Never a dull moment with Chance.
Chance came to the rescue after being found as a stray in Kentucky. We think he is about one and a half years old. We suspect he had been someone’s pet because he is close to mastering housetraining and he knows to sit before getting his leash on.
Chance loves going for long walks, playing with toys and being cuddled. He is a big fan of bones and things he is given to chew. Despite his size, he is a bit of a lap dog. He is very motivated by food, which is great as it will help with training.
He is currently living with 3 dogs. One has become his best friend and they can play for hours. Chance would do best in a home that has a dog with an energy level similar to his or at least have frequent access to a like minded playmate. We don’t recommend a home with cats, as he thinks they exist to be chased.
Chance loves spending time outside. A fenced yard is important so he can roam around free. He can do long walks, so if you are a hiker or an outdoorsy type, that would be great (although not essential). He is very good in the car.
Chance has all the makings of being a perfect addition to a home. Like all young dogs, Chance needs some training. He has to work on his manners when meeting other dogs. He also has a zest for life that needs some direction.
Chance is still learning how to play gently and therefore would be best suited to a home without young children.
