Barbie is a beautiful white and grey Toy Poodle, believed to be around 5 yrs old. She is a shy, affectionate girl due to her limited life experience, however she is coming out of her shell a little more every day. Barbie is doing great with the dogs at her foster home and seems indifferent but curious about cats in the foster home. She has been making good progress learning her house training but still has daily accidents. She would do best in a home that has easy access to a fenced yard to continue her bathroom routine. Barbie loves people and loves to be right next to her human. While is still quite skittish of fast movements, we think she would do best in an adult only home (visiting kids would be fine). Getting down to her level with a slow approach makes her feel safe and she is quite happy to sniff. Once she feels comfortable, she will ask for belly rubs and loves to give kisses. She also loves to be brushed and helps her really relax and cuddle into your arms. She would be great in a home where there someone home most of the time. She does get a bit anxious when someone leaves the house, but that has started to improve slowly. She’s incredibly affectionate and just wants to be loved and needs a family that will give her the time to come out of her shell.
