Sponsored by Lesley Clairmont because every dog deserves care and good home.

Smiling Al arrived recently from Tennessee looking for a home of his own. He is an energetic boy and always ready for playtime.

He is currently in foster with a dog and cat. Al can live with a confident dog-savvy cat that will set expectations. He would be very happy in a home with another dog that can match his energy level and handle his hard play. Having playmates that he can visit with regularly to help get out some of that energy would be helpful. A fenced in yard is important so he can run and burn off energy.

Al is treat motivated which helps with training, and he enjoys playing with toys as seen in the video at the end of this bio.

He is house trained and is working on crate training. He does go into his crate for meals and Kong treats but gets anxious if left alone for long periods.

Al is receiving extra care, as he has been anxious around new people during walks and in the home. His foster is working to help him stay calm and confident and is also working with a trainer. Older children would be best, as sudden movements make him anxious. He would do best in a quiet neighbourhood with minimal distractions, and an active family, willing to be patient as he learns to trust.

Al has proven himself to be a loving boy and is ready to shower his forever family with kisses and snuggles. We are accepting applications while we continue to work with Al.
