Meet Scrappy! A 1 year old terrier mix who found herself at a shelter for unknown reasons which made her very scared and confused. Since arriving in foster care she has transformed into a completely different dog. She is nothing what her name suggests.. Her foster mom says she is the most beautiful, happy, fun energetic girl! She is always smiling and her tail is always wagging and loves to smoother her people with kisses.

Being a young girl she still has quite a bit of puppy energy and loves to play! She loves her stuffies but nothing beats playing a good game of fetch in the yard. She would love a home with a good sized fenced in yard where she can play and burn off some of her energy. She loves to go for walks but can pull a little from excitement. However after a good walk and play session she likes to snuggle up next to her people.

She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and would love another active dog to spend her days with. Scrappy would also do well as the only dog in the home given her family will give her the attention and exercise she needs.

She is currently living in a foster home with a toddler and she is excellent with him. Scrappy would do well in a home with children however being young she can get jumpy when excited so her new family will have to be mindful of that when around really small children.

She’s a very smart girl who learns very quickly. She’s already learned to sit and will sit nicely before getting her meals. Being a young girl she would definitely benefit from some puppy training classes. She is fully house and crate trained. She is currently being crated during the day while her foster family is at work and she will go in with no hesitation and without a peep. She has been left uncrated for short periods of time and has not been destructive.

Scrappy has been good with people outside of the home however can be a little wary of strangers entering her home and does bark. She settles quickly once you you show her everything is ok.

This beautiful girl would make a lovely addition to a family that will give her all the love and attention she deserves.
