Remy has been adopted.
Remy is a striking 5 month old little lady. We believe that she is a cross between a Labrador and a Catahoula Leopard Dog. She is very friendly, funny and intelligent. As she is still a puppy, she requires a slow introduction to new dogs, but is great once she warms up. She is also fine with cats, and is currently living in a foster home with 4 of her own!
Due to her puppy energy, Remy is not suitable for apartment living at this time as she requires a yard to play in. She likes a lot of exercise, is slowly but surely learning leash manners and at this time and has mastered both the “sit” and “off” commands. What a quick learner this girl is! Of course, she still requires basic obedience and like any puppy, would benefit from a round or two of puppy school to help her learn some socialization skills, and to create a bond with her new family.
Remy’s new family would ideally be home during the day, but someone who works short hours would be okay as well. She does not like to be crated at this time as she does have like to play, so a family with the intention of hiring a dog walker would be perfect for our little munchkin. Remy is still growing at this time and will likely get a little bigger. Her mother was around 35 lbs, however we aren’t certain as to who her father was so it’s likely that she will gain quite a bit of weight, as she has already spurted in the height department!
Remy’s foster family is completely in love with their lovely lady, and are looking for the most suitable home for her at this time. Remy tells us that she would like for her new owner to snuggle up with her on the couch when she’s sleepy, and to take her on nice long hikes in the forest on the weekends. If you are looking for a young pup to grow with your family, then do not hesitate to apply on our website!
