Pirate has been adopted.
Here is what Pirate’s foster mom has to say, “Hi. I’d like to introduce you to our newest foster, Pirate.
Pirate is the most fragile, saddest and most tortured little soul I’ve ever met. His story has me filled with rage.
Someone hog tied him and threw him out a car window. He’s lost one foot, and we are hoping his other ankle will heal and he can keep it. His back was injured, but he hobbles around, learning how to explore our backyard on three legs. He is tiny, frail, has dry skin and the little hair he has is dull because he was starving. But he keeps on going.
Maybe we should call him Resilience.
We are feeding him high grade food three times a day, he’s on antibiotics and pain medication. He’s seeing Dr. Khadri regularly; next Thursday we find out if he will need a skin graft on that back left ankle.”

Please note that while we continue to get to know each of our dogs, their biographies will be updated with additional information, so make sure to check back once in a while!
