Becca is a gentle natured sweetheart looking for her Furever Home. She is 15lbs and approximately 5 years old. As a rescued breeding mama from a puppy mill in Ohio, Becca is now learning what it’s like to be a pet inside a loving home.

She has been making incredible progress so far, including becoming a part of a foster family with young children, going for leash walks in the neighbourhood, and enjoying the grass, leaves and smells of a safe backyard. She will need continued patience while she is exploring the world around her, as she can be nervous or startled easily during new experiences. We are hoping she goes to a home with a securely fenced yard.

Becca still has a lot to learn about being a pet dog, as she spent her life this far in a very limiting environment. She is currently working on new challenges such as house-training, climbing stairs, being left alone for short periods, and the ins and outs of being around new humans, including children.

Becca would do well in a home with another pet to learn from and gain some confidence. She gets along with both dogs and cats, but so far has been pretty neutral with both. I’m sure with time she would come out of her shell and develop joyful companionship with other pets.
