Lou is a 3-year-old, 12-pound terrier cross with a heart as big as her adorable ears. After being rescued from a hoarding situation, she’s embraced her second chance with incredible resilience. Rather than dwelling on her past, Lou chooses joy every single day—and it’s impossible not to smile when she’s around.

This happy little girl loves being with her people and thrives in the company of other dogs. She’s gained so much confidence from her foster siblings and can often be found cuddling, wrestling, or happily playing with them. Stuffies are her absolute favourite, and she loves tossing them around before settling in for a well-earned snuggle.

Lou also enjoys her daily walks, car rides, and simply being included in whatever her family is doing. She’s house-trained and happily heads outside for her bathroom breaks. A securely fenced yard would be high on her wish list, giving her a safe place to play and explore.

Lou is eager to please and has a wonderfully enthusiastic outlook on life. Her sweet, optimistic nature is contagious, and she’s sure to brighten even the dullest day.

Lou has always lived with both dogs and cats, and seems to find comfort and confidence among them. We are looking for a home with a friendly resident dog to continue building her confidence and to be her built-in best friend.
