Meet Sam, a sweet senior gentleman living out the remainder of his long happy life with one of our dedicated foster families.

Sam was a very well-loved and well-cared for boy. He has always had proper veterinary care and as happens with many older, small dogs, he does have some age onset cardiac issues. Sam has been on 2 daily medications which keep his Congestive Heart Failure well controlled. He will need to remain on the medications for life.

Sam has had some recent health concerns leading to sudden blindness. As an older boy, Sam did have cataracts when he came to us but was still able to see very well unless it was too dark. The doctors are unsure of what happened with sweet Sam’s eyes but he has been so brave through all of his Vet appointments and during his daily treatments with his foster family.

Sam’s foster and doctors will continue to keep a close watch over him to ensure comfort and peace during his final stage in life.
