Tiny, is absolutely that… so very tiny, and adorable too!

Tiny and her friends came into rescue from a rather sheltered life. They are shy/nervous and a lot of things are new to them. Tiny lived with 13 other chihuahuas, and a lovely man who took care of them. Unfortunately, he was told he could not keep so many dogs in his home, so 11 of them came into rescues. Life has just been one big adventure since then.

For a wee little dog, she has a pretty big personality. She was the first of the three in her foster home to start playing and rolling over for belly rubs. She likes to chase her foster mom’s fingers, and paw at her hands in play. She will also stand up with her front paws against her foster mom’s legs when she wants attention.

Tiny likes to dance around and be funny and seems to be encouraged by laughter. A light baby voice is a sure way to get her attention and win her affection. Once she’s comfortable with her surroundings, she will climb right up in your arms and nap.

Tiny is a fairly quiet dog, and would be fine in a condo/apartment, however she would do best in a home with easy access to a yard or green space as she’s learning to house train. She is not brave enough to go for harness walks for bathroom business just yet. She does keep her crate clean overnight though and regular trips outside have really helped minimize accidents in the house.

Because her life experience is so sheltered, a lot of things frighten her, and for that reason she would not make a great pet for small kids. Visitors would be ok, but she needs a calm home to feel relaxed and comfortable in.

Tiny would do best in a home with another dog. A small companion to provide comfort, cuddles, and to learn from, would truly help Tiny flourish. Tiny loves to jump on and over her dog friends and also loves to try to push them out of the way to gain attention. She has a “Me Me Me” (though super friendly) attitude. Therefore a playful, well balanced, small dog that is not easily offended by that silliness, would be ideal.

Tiny is a super sweet girl who is really unfolding into the loveliest little pup. She is already quite comical as she learns to be a brave girl. She just needs some help with her confidence and cheer her on.
