Sponsored in memory of Yumi
Hello, my name is Lassie and I am looking forward to getting my own family. I am a 4.5-year-old chocolate Havanese and about 17 pounds. I am a bit timid and I sometimes back away from being picked up. I have given foster mom finger kisses. However, if foster mom picks me up, I will cuddle with her but I am also happy to nap in a dog bed away from the activity of the house. I met some children and rolled over for a belly rub. Foster mom offered me a new toy but I played with an old beat up one that the resident dogs had attacked. My appetite is good and I will take some treats.
I love to roam in the back yard but sometimes I am having so much fun, I don’t want to come inside for foster mom and she isn’t very happy about that. We have been for some walks and I enjoyed exploring the trail. I met some other dogs and they were friendly.
Foster mom has two smaller dogs and several cats. I haven’t played with them but I have run zoomies with one of them. I have met some of foster mom’s cats and just ignored them.
While foster mom is out, I stay in a separate room and sleep on my bed. I haven’t barked in the house but have barked at people going by. I am house trained.
My forever home needs to have another similar sized dog. You need to be patient with me as I learn to trust people. If you have cats or respectful children, I would be okay with that. It would be best if you have a secure backyard so I can enjoy being outside.
I hope to meet you soon.
