SweetPea is available for adoption
Sponsored by Debbie, in celebration of Stefan P’s birthday!
SweetPea is the perfect name for this happy girl. Her tail is always wagging, bum wiggling and you can almost see a smile on her sweet face.
SweetPea is a senior pup who is great with other dogs and cats. She is the serious one when the shenanigans become too much and will alert her foster mom with a bark when playtime starts to get out of hand with her foster siblings. She’s sort of like the referee! She has a deep bark that doesn’t match her body, much to her foster mom’s surprise.
She appears to be house trained, crate trained and also knows some of the basic commands (sit, stay, paw, etc). She is relatively quiet, and only really barks when her foster siblings are being silly or when she can see someone passing by the windows.
SweetPea is currently on a weight-loss program and could benefit having someone to share that journey with. She would love to be a walking partner and stroll the neighbourhood a few times a day. She does pull, it’s very likely she was not walked much in her previously life, so a harness is used to help her out.
SweetPea would be best suited in a home with more relaxed older dogs as she prefers some calmness and order in her life. She would also be happy as an only dog. She would love to be with an active person(s) who will not mind several walks a day.
