Dear Future Family
It’s me Sophie! I have been in my foster home for a few months and love my foster mom so much, but I think it is time I start looking for a family of my own. I was really scared at first but now I am ready to meet you and show you what a good girl I am.
I will probably still be a little scared when I meet you, I really will be excited on the inside but it might not show. Give me a few minutes ( and maybe a cookie too) and I promise we will be best friends in no time. I am getting much better at being brave and now like going on walks and have made some new human and dog friends. There is another dog in my foster home and she has taught me so much about playing and also being brave. It is important that my new family has another confident dog friend that does not mind if I try and learn a few things from them.
I think it would be a good idea if we went to school together so that I can learn all my manners and maybe some fun tricks too! I have also heard that going to school helps dogs bond with their owners and that sounds very important to me.
Once we are friends I will follow you everywhere like a little shadow and best friend. I have been told that I could win awards for my cuddling abilities, that made me feel so good. I cannot wait to cuddle with you!
I am only a year old with my whole life ahead of me, I cannot wait to share it with you.
