Roxy

Roxy has been adopted!

Sponsored by Marie P., for her love of all that is rescue

Roxy is a gorgeous hound mix with big brown eyes that will make you instantly fall in love. She is gentle and well-behaved, but she is incredibly playful. She is shy initially and does require some time to get comfortable with new people. Roxy is food-motivated.  She LOVES attention! She comes up for kisses and often rests her head on her foster mom and dad when relaxing.  She is quite vocal when she plays and tries to get attention when she isn’t the one being played with. Roxy loves to chew; lots of toys and exercise to keep her occupied is a must.
She understands basic commands, like sit and come, and is eager to learn more! She is great on a leash for her walks; she pulls a little, but her foster mom is working with “heel.” She is wary of other dogs on walks and has a tendency to pull when loud trucks drive by.
She is nervous on car rides but after a little bit she settles in to sleep. She does have a nervous stomach. Roxy is progressing well with her crate training. Roxy is currently in a fully fenced yard.
Roxy takes a while to warm up to other dogs but once she has they will be best friends. Roxy would do well with dog-savvy cats. Roxy is fully house trained with the occasional accident in the beginning. She does alright with being left alone for 6-8 hour days. Roxy has not been tested with young kids yet but does well with older children.

Roxy was lovingly fostered by Amber
