Quinn has been adopted!
Quinn / Male / Northern Dog / 1 Year Old / 70 lbs / Available!
Quinn’s foster mom says he’s really a giant softie. He’d love nothing more than to have cuddles and scratches all day (possibly in his human’s lap, if he could just make himself tiny!). He’s not at all shy around new people and is quick to greet everyone with the same happy exuberance.
In fact, Quinn is so focused on being with his people, his ideal forever family would have someone home with him, during the day. Although he’ll get up and play or go for a walk any time he’s invited, he’s also perfectly happy chilling out on his bed, nice and close to his human’s feet.
He’s also learning to play with his toys and thinks stuffies are pretty great. Other dogs are fun, too, although he’d be just fine as an only pet, since he really does seem to love his people, best of all.
He’s completely house-trained and–after just a few days–learned to like his crate, too, choosing to have afternoon naps in it.
He’s been very quiet in his foster home and doesn’t tend to bark much, even when someone comes to the door. He walks quite well on his leash and understands “sit” although his new family will have to work on helping him understand other basic commands. He’s also prone to counter-surfing and some jumping up to greet people, so he’ll need some guidance about house manners, too.
Given that’s he’s from a very small town in the far north, he’s adjusting to his life in foster care in downtown Toronto with remarkable ease. The sights and sounds of streetcars and buses and rush-hour traffic don’t seem to bother him at all.
This handsome, cuddly and gentle boy will make one lucky family very happy
