Phoenix

Phoenix has been adopted!

Sponsored by Scrubbles (Pet Wash & Spaw).  In honour of Berta, a big bundle of Chocolate, who opened our world and hearts to rescue.

Phoenix has the most stunning beautiful coat of black fur with auburn hues to match her eyes. She is the perfect size, not too big, not too small.. just right. She loves to snuggle and loves her walks!

She’s a quiet girl for the most part, takes life as it comes. She aims to please and looks for guidance from her people. She is great on a leash, does well with both the dogs and cats in her foster home. Super friendly all around.

House training is coming along well, she’s getting the hang of it, but it would be recommended to treat as a puppy and use a crate until she can learn her adopters schedule.

It appears as though no one has taken the time to teach her the basic skills, which is sad as she is eager to learn and please her people. Her foster mom is working on sit and stay, but the biggest one is “off” as she does like to get up close and person with people and counters. Since she is eager to please and easily corrected, it shouldn’t be long for her to get the hang of it.

Phoenix would do best with a big fenced yard to play in. She has a pretty long stride, so she will need room to run. She isn’t a digger and doesn’t appear to look for ways to escape the yard, but for safety sake, she would probably require a 6 foot fence due to her stride.

This beautiful girl would do well as an only dog or with others, she seems happy either way. She loves her toys, snuggle time with her people and plenty of walks.

Phoenix was lovingly fostered by Dione
