Koko

Koko has been adopted

Koko is sponsored by PEACE Psychotherapy, in loving memory of Saku.

Koko is a special girl who is just looking to be loved. Nothing makes her happier than snuggling up on the couch with her foster mom. Koko had a rough start and shows signs of neglect. She has some separation anxiety, but is learning that we will always come home. We crate her for brief periods during the day when we’re out in order to keep her safe. She likes to have her blanket and pink bunny with her. She can be a resource guarder at times. We believe this is due to the fact that she has never had toys, so they are very important to her. She is fully house-trained and sleeps through the night on our bed. Koko may bark when someone comes to the door, but quickly quiets down once they’re inside.

Koko is very friendly with strangers and other dogs. She is currently living with another small dog and they get along well. We still feed them separately, just to be careful if Koko becomes defensive of her food. Koko goes for walks with her foster sister daily and is very good on a leash. She keeps a close eye on her foster mom, both around the house and outside. We think this is because she has been left on her own. Koko is looking for a loving, patient home to give her lots of snuggles and the love she truly deserves. Koko would not do well in a home with young children. An ideal home would be one that has someone home the majority of the time.
