Feb.22/17….Hi everyone..my name is Jasper and I am a little senior poodle x…not sure but maybe Bichon ? My precious owner went to a nursing home so I landed in a high kill shelter and Save Me Dog Rescue saved me !! My foster mum tells everyone that I am a real lover…I love people and ask everyone I see to please pick me up. ! My favourite thing is to sleep in a warm lap….anyone’s actually ! I like being around the other dogs here, but we really don’t interact much…they are seniors like me. But I really have no fears about large dogs. I am only able to eat soft smooth food, and my foster mum is looking into the possible reasons….so I will be seeing a vet re my remaining teeth soon. I don’t hear very well and my eye sight is not the best…but I do love to be in the yard here and poke around sniffing for the best spot to do my business–it does take me a while as I am pretty slow about it ! . I am house trained, but do like to go out every few hours.
From his foster mum… this little guy is just precious ! He was 5.1 lbs at the vet the other day..and the vet thought he was definitely an old senior ! On his records he is listed as 8 yrs, as 10 yrs and as 11.5 yrs ! –So I would guess at least 10 yrs old. He does have weak knees and hips.., so is a bit wobbly…but gets along and is a happy guy. He is learning what treats are, but they have to be very soft. We will get an answer as to what is going on in his little mouth….and hope he doesn’t need further surgery. Jasper will do best in a home where he will be carried up and down stairs, and be allowed to snuggle in a lap. He really does love all people ..and happily greets anyone who comes to visit…but I haven’t heard him bark at all yet. ! He rides quietly in the car and sleeps. He mainly needs love and more love. He gives angel kisses…and is such a gentle little soul…..
